God has placed something supernatural inside every believer. Spiritual gifts are not merely abilities or talents. They are expressions of the Holy Spirit’s power, given to strengthen the church, advance God’s kingdom, and bring glory to Christ.
In this powerful message, Brother Caleb Khaling explores the biblical foundation and purpose of spiritual gifts. Through 1 Corinthians 12, 13, and 14, we are reminded that the gifts of the Holy Spirit were not temporary tools that disappeared with the early church. They remain active and relevant as the Holy Spirit continues to equip believers for ministry.
Spiritual gifts are given for God’s purpose. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts according to His wisdom and connects them with the calling and purpose God has placed on each believer. Your gift is not meant for personal recognition, but for serving others and building up the body of Christ.
Spiritual maturity is essential. Gifts must be exercised with wisdom, love, and biblical order. When spiritual gifts operate under the guidance of love and maturity, they strengthen unity rather than create confusion or division within the church.
We should eagerly desire spiritual gifts. Scripture encourages believers to seek God and earnestly desire spiritual gifts. Through prayer, faith, and the ministry of mature spiritual leaders, believers can grow in understanding and operation of the gifts God has given.
The gifts of the Spirit are still at work today. They will ultimately reach their completion when Christ returns and all things are made perfect. Until then, we are called to pursue love while eagerly desiring the spiritual gifts that help advance God’s kingdom.
