Our Core Values
Learn more about our values and our story as a church by visiting the about us page.
We value the Lordship of Jesus Christ!
We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the head of our church and fully submit ourselves to His will. In every aspect of our ministry our goal is always to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
We value Bible-centered Preaching and Teaching!
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. Therefore, we submit ourselves to its teaching, commit ourselves to do what it says, and yield our lives to become what Christ desires for us to be.
We value Prayer!
We believe in the power of prayer. Therefore, the ministries and activities our church will be characterized by a reliance on personal and corporate prayer in all areas of our lives and ministry.
We value Evangelism and World Missions!
We believe in the Great Commission commanded to us by Jesus Christ and we are committed to reaching unsaved and unchurched people locally, nationally and worldwide. We will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win and disciple the people in our sphere of influence.
We value the Family!
We believe God ordained the family to glorify him. We are committed to cultivate an atmosphere which promotes spiritual growth within the family by reaching families with the gospel, discipling them in Christ-like character and teaching each family member how to fulfill their God-given role.
Statement of Faith
At Spirit of Life Church, we are a non-denominational, Spirit-filled, and Christ-centered community of believers. Rooted in the Living Word of Grace and Truth, we seek to glorify God and share His transforming love with the world.
Here’s what we believe:
1. The Triune God
We believe that the one true God is eternal and exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14). The Father is the Creator (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 64:8), the Son is the Redeemer (Colossians 1:13-14, Titus 2:14), and the Spirit is the Sustainer of all life (Job 33:4, Romans 8:11). This Triune God is co-equal, co-eternal, and perfect in unity (Deuteronomy 6:4, John 10:30).
2. The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice (Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35). It is fully sufficient for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105).
3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God, the eternal Son (John 1:1, John 20:28), who became fully human while remaining fully divine (Philippians 2:6-7, Colossians 2:9). He is the Word made flesh (John 1:14) and the exact representation of God’s nature (Hebrews 1:3). As God, He lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21), died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3, Isaiah 53:5), rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:4, Romans 4:25), and now reigns as Lord and Savior (Ephesians 1:20-21, Acts 4:12).
4. The Gospel of Grace
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9). It is not earned by works but is given freely by God (Titus 3:5, Galatians 2:16). Through His sacrifice on the cross, we are forgiven (Colossians 1:13-14), made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21), and reconciled to God (Romans 5:10).
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, who indwells every believer (1 Corinthians 6:19, Romans 8:11). The Spirit empowers us to live godly lives, bear spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23), and use spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:4-7).
We affirm that all spiritual gifts, including prophecy, healing, tongues, miracles, and others, are still active and have not ceased (1 Corinthians 12:8-10, Romans 12:6-8). These gifts are given by the Spirit for the edification and unity of the Church (1 Corinthians 12:11). The Spirit also empowers us to boldly proclaim the Gospel (Acts 1:8).
6. The Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 1:22-23), made up of all who believe in Him (Romans 12:5, Galatians 3:28). The Church is called to live in unity, love, and fellowship (Acts 2:42, John 13:35). It is commissioned to proclaim the Gospel (Mark 16:15, 2 Corinthians 5:20) and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).
7. Baptism and Communion
We believe in baptism by immersion as an outward declaration of faith (Acts 8:36-38, Matthew 28:19), symbolizing the believer’s death to sin, burial with Christ, and resurrection to new life in Him (Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12).
We also believe in the Lord’s Supper as a reminder of Christ’s sacrifice and our covenant with Him (1 Corinthians 11:23-25). By partaking in the bread and the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until He returns (1 Corinthians 11:26).
8. The Second Coming
We believe that Jesus Christ will return in glory to establish His eternal kingdom (Acts 1:11, Revelation 1:7). We eagerly await the new heaven and new earth, where righteousness dwells (Revelation 21:1, 2 Peter 3:13). In His presence, we will live forever, worshiping Him as King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 22:3-5, Philippians 2:10-11).
9. Living the Truth
We believe in embodying the truth of the Gospel in our daily lives (James 1:22, 1 John 3:18). As followers of Christ, we are called to live in love (John 13:34-35), grace (Colossians 4:6), and compassion (Ephesians 4:32), reflecting God’s light to the world (Matthew 5:16). Our faith is demonstrated not only in words but in actions (James 2:17, 1 Peter 2:12).
