One Reason Blessings Stop: Disrespect

You cannot claim to honor God while dishonoring the structure He has established. Where honor is preserved, blessing is protected.

Many believers pray for open doors and lasting blessings, yet quietly wonder why growth suddenly stops. Sometimes the issue is not lack of prayer or gifting, but a subtle spirit of disrespect.

In this message, Brother Caleb Khaling teaches the biblical principle of honoring God and those He appoints. We may say we honor God, but Scripture shows that honoring Him also includes respecting His spiritual structure. Through the warning and promise found in 1 Samuel 2:30 and the example of Noah’s sons in Book of Genesis 9, we see that honor brings covering and blessing, while dishonor leads to loss.

Honor begins with how we treat God. We honor Him by giving Him first place, offering our best, and obeying His Word. True worship is not only in song but in surrender. When God is first in our priorities, blessings flow in proper order.

Honor extends to God’s servants. To respect those God has appointed is to respect His authority. Even if a leader has weaknesses, exposing rather than covering reflects a wrong spirit. Noah’s sons reveal that how we respond to imperfection determines our inheritance.

Honor requires submission to leadership. Having anointing or gifting does not remove the need for spiritual covering. A rebellious spirit that says no one can correct me opens the door to spiritual decline. Humility protects destiny.

Blessings do not stop randomly. They are often blocked where honor is broken.
